The day after the elections, there is a horrifying fire in Ventura County, which coincides with the worst winds we've experienced in years, with gusts up to 80mph. 

The giant conflagration has burned down hundreds of houses and there are an estimated 90,000 people without power right now. 

By some miracle, God has spared our house and my in-laws house from the devastation. We have power, none of us have had to evacuate and I was able to go through some of our things to donate to those in need.

So today, I'll spend some time donating items like clothes and toiletries to those affected by the fire and count my blessings.
