goals are a funny thing

Have lots of goals.

Have 1 goal.

Have 3-5 goals.

#goals.

I've tried it all the ways and I haven't found something that works for me yet. It's a weird time to have and set goals, it's almost the end of the year but there's still time to get things done. But it's not quite down to the wire yet to feel the kick of productivity that you want to end the year with.

I want to make some progress this month so I will write a summary of my monthly progress in Dec for the following goals so I can hold myself accountable.

PERSONAL FITNESS

1. Lose 2 pounds (first).

And keep track of how much I've lost. Doing well so far, down to 143.

2. Do 1 trainwell workout a week.

In the process of joining a new gym but did not do a trainwell workout in November. Unfortunately, online accountability with no consequences other than wasted money that I have already paid upfront to save money that I did not actually save, is a bit of a dud for me. Lesson learned, next time, I will do month to month.

3. Play pickleball once a week.

This has been a rather grand success, as I've made friends through pickleball who reach out to me and want to play, which is a huge source of motivation and on the plus side, is also really fun.

4. Complete 100 squats per week using a counter.

5. Cycle once a week.

6. Plan 4 hikes to prepare for Machu Picchu

7. Complete 3 Stepbets (8-10k steps a day)

WRITING and reading

8. Read at least 12 books

I’m currently reading:

  2. Donate anything no longer wanted
  3. Store things we're keeping in an organized and logical manner

20. Plan out grocery shopping once a week according to plan and budget

21. Do one hard thing in the morning everyday

22. Post my progress regarding these resolutions on this blog on the first day of every month.
