No rest for the sick.
My husband got sick, and as I look back on this year, one of the things I am the most grateful for is my health. I haven't gotten sick since April of this year and am hoping to make it through to April of next year, fingers crossed.
Washing my hands, regularly sleeping, and taking my vitamins I think have been key to my immune system being strong. Before April 2024, the last time I was sick was Sep 2023, so I'm already doing better than last year for my health streak.
I want to incorporate regular fasting and sauna back into my life and am still trying to figure out ways to gamify eating my vitamins.
Some of my habits I have successfully gamified:
1. Writing - Discord/writing with people
2. Cleaning - Beeminder
3. Exercise - Pickleball with friends
4. Walking - Stepbet
5. Not spending time on time wasting apps like instagram or games - Opal which is an app blocker
6. Studying - Productivity lab and Discord, studying with friends online
Cleaning could still definitely use some more work since I want to be doing more of it and I don't have enough of a trigger currently to be doing it as much as I would like!
