threat neutralized.

The threat being dopamine depletion at the beginning of the morning. The solution? A willpower challenge first thing in the morning.

For me, working out first thing after waking up has never worked for me, until I started playing pickleball with friends in the morning.

Going to sleep in workout clothes helps but knowing there is someone waiting for me, works for me most of all. Luckily, there is pickleball 3 or 4 times in the morning every week.

I am working my way up to working out in the mornings I don't have games or taking cold showers. Cold plunges in the winter time are just so brutal.

The more I plan my schedule, the less willpower I need to do it, like making plans with friends to work out with them ahead of time.

Another motivating question to ask myself is how committed am I/do I feel toward my goal today?

Lastly, a great way to motivate myself is to feel like the kind of person who wants to do the right thing, and the kind of person who wants to be healthy/is healthy (identity).

Some things I want to try to make reaching my goal more fun:

-Go to the gym/sauna

-Zwift

-Starting my 7-10 mile a day walking streak

-Trainwell streak?

-Drinking more water..somehow
