you're a gentleman and a scholar.

Something I haven't written much about are recent reflections and wins to celebrate.

Here are some recent learnings within my work and my life and some things I want to remember.

1) Making tiny changes to make things harder to do like not being able to find the TV remote makes it harder to watch TV can help me break bad habits.

2) Making tiny changes to make things a little easier for me to do things that I want to do like buying a treadmill so I can get my steps indoors when it is raining.

3) My optimal productivity time frame is 10 minutes. I get a lot more work done with a 10 minute timer than a 15 minute one, which is curious. The slight difference can make it harder for me to focus and do the thing I want to do.

I want to take more time to consider where my personal and professional life is headed, and use some of those insights to guide my decision-making, but to be honest, reflection isn't one of my strong points. I tend to be very in my head and think half formed thoughts that could turn into a useful observation with a little bit of time and effort.

So today, I'm going to plan out some future reflection prompts so I have a reminder that this is something I want to continue to write about.
