We the ones who gotta clean that up!
This time we traveled to Europe, we experienced a very peculiar physiological effect of intense jetlag that didn't go away almost the entire length of our trip unfortunately. We kept waking up during the night, not able to sleep through the night or get more than 3-4 hours for a few days straight.
What was so odd was that both of us were utterly synced in our frustrating Circadian rhythms, with neither my husband nor I able to get enough sleep.
It was because of lack of sleep that at one of the many Christmas markets we went to in Vienna, I spilled almost half of the contents of a mug of very delicious hot chocolate all over me.
But, I am happy to say that we didn't get sick and we were able to get some much needed rest after we got home, and we learned some very important lessons about traveling at a slower pace in the future, since apparently, the message our bodies are sending is that we are no longer spring chickens!
I'm sad to say that maybe I won't be able to remember as much of our experience there as if I had enough sleep for some of these memories to enter into long term memories but we survived nonetheless!
