Welcome. Scranton hot dog from Scranton?
I admit it. We ate brats, or hot dogs, almost everyday in Europe. At least 4 days in a row. We also had lots of dairy and very few vegetables. The most mysterious part? No irritated stomachs or bloating. The food quality is just so markedly different in Europe, much more affordable, and so very tasty.
We stocked up on gummy bears, which do taste different there, Swiss chocolate, but boy do I miss it. Food is just not the same here, so I've been trying to cook more and food prep at home. Even though we ate lots of bread, cheese, and mulled apple cider in Europe, we did not gain any weight (although we didn't lose any weight this time around), though we walked quite a lot, I'll take it.
My husband did not get to get a Copenhagen hot dog from Copenhagen, sadly, because we didn't have enough time on our layover and expressed his sadness by quoting this very joke many times.
Today we had some beer brats, which are bratwurst that have been boiled in beer for those of you who don't know, to honor our time at the Christmas Markets, and because we very much miss Europe.
Until next time, Europe!
