You're not real, man | Day 41 of 90
This is the 95th blog post??
I can't believe I've written so much already, but time really has flown by. I wanted to journal and do a look back on the first quarter of 2025.
Some notables:
Won 5 stepbets in 2025 and made over $100
Took 2 Glass Fusing classes
Went to Boston and Maine for a snowy getaway
Went to West Palm Beach for work
Played lots of pickleball and used up Classpass credits doing hot yoga, barre, and reformer pilates
Started shadowing at The Knitting Lounge
Made my first sock!!
Started my 1 line a day journal
Finally did 30 days of Forest timers in a row
Beat my January and February numbers from last year and up year over year in 2025, even though my March was much lower.
Although I haven't made as much progress as I would have wanted in the first quarter, something I'm learning as I look back on this year so far is how much opportunity I had to move the needle just a little bit more if I had pushed myself.
One example is in my health, which I didn't feel I made as much progress in as I would have wanted. I added in 3 accountability buddies and hoping that at least one of them will pan out, and I have an accountability group that I'll be joining this month which I am excited for and coaching as well.
I don't feel like I have moved closer to the kind of person I want to be this past year and boy does Venus Retrograde make you feel stuck sometimes. I haven't felt this discouraged and un-confident in a while.
Some other reflections on my Productivity Catalyst:
Interestingly, in Sep 2024, I put an 8/10 for aligning when I said I'm not consistent, and I put a 4 for myself in 2025. I've become more negative/realistic I guess.
There's definitely been improvement overall but one of my takeaways is to make a plan for each day, which sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. But I would like to make that a part of my morning routine daily.
1) Trigger - Coffee or caffeine of the day like tea, and then brain dump for the day, looking at my calendar, my high performance ratings, and my morning manifesto
2) ^ Try to wake up at 8am everyday or earlier
My focused times have been so much better with the Focus Labs which I have been loving, but I don't usually do them for my fitness goals. My daily journals have also been great for reflecting and checking in at the end of the day as well as my blog posts. The weekly reflections have been great for this as well.
Something else for me to think about this year:
1) How to organize my brain dump - Notion or Todoist?
2) Right now, everything is in Apple Notes and it's quite a mess
3) Occasionally I will organize it but eventually getting to a master list would be great so I can be more systematic about my todos.
Some things for me to try this month!
Thinking about what I want to have accomplished by the end of Q2 and who I want to be after coaching, includes being more energetic, positive, and more busy. I want to more consistently exercise and come up with a regular morning routine that I look forward to.
I want to set some deadlines and goals for next Quarter that are pretty clear and hopefully related to my yearly goals:
Go on 1 hike a week (12 hikes in Q2)
Finish ADHD is Awesome by April 15
Finish Outlive by April 20
Finish Everyone Fights by April 25
Finish 1 container of tea before Summer (before I can buy any more tea)
Bring body fat % down to 29%
30% by end of April
Bring weight down to 136 lbs
Get down to 139 by April
Get DEXA scan in June
The Vision I have for my work and life:
See 3-5 clients a week on a regular basis (wait list)
Hire an associate
Retire in 4 years and possibly have a remote role or work part time
Have a minimal life, filled with reading, exercise, cooking and learning
Move to Italy
