December Progress on 2026 goals!

PERSONAL FITNESS

1. Keep track of how many times I have used the Sauna in 2026 

I want to write about this, just like I've been writing a post every time I have been going to the gym.

2 times so far in Dec!

2. Do Zone 2 training 2 times a week

Without the structure of Pickleball classes and my new business, I had a tough time playing. So I am going to try to schedule in some time to play pickleball a few times a week, do some zone 2 training on the treadmill daily (and somehow make it fun), and take fitness classes too. I haven't quite figured out how to make the zone 2 training fun, but I might try to take the dogs on daily hikes maybe. 

3. Redo The Great Clock In - 6 Week Weightlifting Program with Frank on the weekends

Really enjoyed this program and would like to do redo it and drag Frank to the gym with me on the weekends and have my rest days be during the week.

So far, I have worked out with Frank 1 times in Dec! I was able to complete 1 of the workouts (including the rest days and cardio days). 

4. Decrease Body Fat Percentage to 25% and decrease weight to 130 lbs

I want to see how far I get with my goal to be 134 lbs in 2026, and want to continue to make progress on that goal, with the ultimate goal for next year to be losing about 2 lbs a month or so. I also want to continue to do my InBody Scans every month or so to keep track of my progress and also drink way more water.

As of Dec I am at 140 lbs.

5. Take a fitness class weekly (increase to 2x a week)

I was really trying to go on daily walks with Frank and the dogs but was having a hard time finding the time. I might have to restart Stepbet in order to do this as a forcing function, but for now, I've decided to make a commitment to do cardio classes several times a week in Moorpark and Newbury Park.

I'm also trying to figure out how to do more Zone 2 training in a week in a fun way.

WRITING and reading

6. Finish 2 books a month

I would like to finish up a lot of the books that I started and didn't finish this year and would like to read more than 24 books this year.

9. Clean and declutter for 20 minutes a day using Forest with Frank

I want to do this more consistently as a part of our daily routine.

10. Clean off surfaces in the house and have a place to store everything and put them back

I want to figure out a trigger for this like after dinner? Before we go to bed? When is a good time?

11. Pan 2 lipsticks

I was able to do it last year so I'm going to attempt it this year as well and will think of a way to add progress every month

12. Pan an eyeshadow

13. Pan a perfume

14. Finish up 3 containers of tea before Summer

Finished up 1 so far, the matcha and planning on finishing up the Dandelion tea soon!

FAMILY/FRIENDS

15. Plan our 2025 trips

Figure out a way to take trips while having my new business. Maybe we'll go to Yosemite or make a trip out of San Diego when I have to go in April or Florida when I have to go in May, especially now that we have the Disney gift card.

16. Do the splits

17. Finish my second pair of socks!

Did not have a chance to do this at the airport but oh well, will focus on reading rather than knitting on my November plane trip.

18. Finish my first garment

19. Finish a baby quilt for Sera

Almost done with my first quilt!!

20. Finish organizing all of my random notes (270 of them) into 1 system

21. Post my progress regarding these resolutions on this blog on the first day of every month.
