it seemed like a good idea at the time.
One thing I want to do this year is to use time pockets well. I can read while waiting for my husband. 10 minutes here, 10 minutes there tidying will make messes feel less intimidating.
Doing squats while waiting in line for the bathroom with no one in sight so I feel less embarrassed, stretching in the sun before I have to leave for an appointment, and playing with my dog in between commercials all seem like great uses of time; time I have often allowed to go unused and wasted.
Another thing I want to do this year is regularly check in with 80 year old me. I want to be well acquainted with her, set her up for success. I want us to be good friends, for me/we to be as healthy as we can be.
For her to teach me not to sweat the small stuff that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. For us to not miss out on the things that really matter.
What would 80 year old Rachel think about the amount of time I'm spending scrolling on Instagram when I have hundreds of posts saved of things that younger past me once thought was interesting that I never looked at again?
So today, I'll do 10 squats while waiting for Frank to get out of the bathroom.
