Excuse me while I whine. A perfect time to reflect on what has been working and why:
1. Focus labs and coworking (at times)
I have to be in the right headspace and have a set task or deadline I am working on when coworking otherwise the time won't be super helpful for me. The times when I have a project I am working on that I need to be fairly focused for, I find that having a set length of time that is broken up by hour is very helpful for me to get disparate things done, ironically. On days I don't have clients, this has been great for catching up on life things and errands.
2. Working for 10 minute timers
I've written about this before but when I am feeling overwhelmed by something like tidying, a 10 minute timer has been saving me. Sometimes even just using it to start something is the very push I need
3. Tidying within a set time such as when coffee is brewing
Pretty self explanatory but something I think I can expand to other areas of my life, like maybe when the shower is going, I can tidy the bathroom counters or try steam mopping while Frank is doing the dishes at night.
4. Working out when I sign up for something or work out with someone
Classpass, pickleball drills on Thursdays that I sign up for, and playing with friends has been working for me this year and I want to continue that on with Amber and trainwell as well.
