I...am a hero.
Checking in on my 2026 goals and recapping how I did in February!
PERSONAL FITNESS
1. Keep track of how many times I have used the Sauna in 2026
February had really weird weather and I had jury duty for 5 weeks so I used the Sauna a few times but not super often. I think that so far, we are up to maybe 10-12 times of usage?
2. Get to a VO2 Max of 34
My goal for February was to hit 1.2 miles in 12 minutes and although I didn't run much this month because of jury duty, I was able to get to 1.18, which was pretty tough. I was able to do it a few times, and ran a mile a few times as well. In March, I am aiming for 1.26 and am going to try running more than once a week, and try running faster sprints as well as more consistently without stopping.
3. The Great Clock In Cut Program restarting on Feb 28!
So, Jury Duty screwed me and I did not do any weight lifting from the program in February...
4. Decrease Body Fat Percentage to 25% and decrease weight to 130 lbs
So Feb's goal was 142, and I was able to weigh in at 143 lbs! I didn't lose as much muscle as I was afraid of while on Jury Duty and next month, I am aiming for 140 lbs. I want to be down 2 lbs by the end of March, and focus on weight training. Ideally, we are aiming for under 140.
5. Zone 2 training for 45 minutes once a week
Been doing tons of Zone 2 because of Stepbet which is a lot harder to do with 2 businesses and fewer color analysis clients! I wasn't very consistent with this in January but I really tried to work on this in February and was fairly successful.
Planning on taking a rest from Stepbet in March and working on stairmaster and weightlifting.
WRITING and reading
6. Finish 2 books a month
Went to Silent Book club and working on finishing up some books from last year. I had read a lot of books that I had forgotten to keep track of in my tracker, so some of them were also mixed in from last year or reread. I also met my reading goal for the month by reading romance novels, so I want to up my goal next year and also finish up books that I had started in 2025.
